Guest list for the civil wedding is almost up

Ok, now we have compiled the guest list for the civil wedding.

But how should we feed them?

I don't trust relationship experts from US...

.. because US divorce rate is almost 50%.

On the contrary, India's divorce rate is 1.1%

I don't see any relationship books coming out from India though.

folks.....

what you are about to see are done by experts and they have
gone thru S.H.I.T.* and the followings should not be attempted by
anyone, anytime, anywhere & anyhow.

she does not wear a ring and i used this cheat-sheet to
measure her ring size while she was taking a nap.
bear in mind that when i printed it, it is up to scale with
those measurements. and i do not practise giving someone
de promise ring as what my co-workers do.

so.....i went online and buy an engagement ring. smartass i am!!
well, they have this education website on everything from
how to buy a diamond to ring size. besides, a lot of the folks in
my office buy the engagement rings from this online store.
so...... i have never bought a ring before and here i am. i am
keying my credit card number and ah....this is so exciting.
smartass i am!!

finally, i hit ENTER.

after a few days, i got it.

size3.

i proposed to her on her birthday and she said YES.
to make a long story short, the ring would not fit!!
it won't even go all the way in. i was like.... OK.
let me call them to resize.

so, we finally sat down and measure again and this time,
size 4.5. i called them up and rearranged for a resize and
courier to them.

a few days later, i got it. this time, i was very anxious and
excited since this will fit. later that nite, i brought it to her and
by golly, it was.... a little too loose!! i was like.... What The!!

size 4.5

Now what???

later, i found out that, in the winter, the body tends to shrink.
that means the fingers will shrink a little too. and it's vice-versa
in the summer.

OK.

Now what???

ahh....... :P

after going thru the education website, i can conclude that, in my
personal opinion, this is my order of preference.

Cut & Clarity (most important)
Color (2nd priority)
Carat (the final decision -- how big is the stone)

i hope she likes it.

moral of the story.
go to a local jewelry to get the right size. a good fitting is important.

Focus, focus, focus

Note to self:
When planning, give more focus on building relationships w/ people rather than "Wow"-ing everyone with The most Awesomest Wedding Party eva'.

Example:
Hire friends to do planning, website, invitations, videography & photography etc etc

Problem:
Too many photographer friends, more than 2 choices of planners

upgrades.

i told her that i wanted to show her how penang looks like.
i will introduce to her my parents, my relatives and my buddies.
i will take her to eat every 2hrs on my 2 wheels.

she told me.... i will not go to penang as your girl-friend. is she
looking for a down grade? hmm.....i don't think so. i think she is
looking for a promotion, a big promotion. that kind of promotion
that settles for a stone on her left ring finger. i wonder what does
that mean.....ah well......
